As the school calendar comes to an end for some students, the start for award ceremonies and presentations follows.

Many gathered at Athlos Leadership Academy in Brownsville for a special student exhibition.

GT coordinator Alexis Fruia says, “Today here we have our GT exhibition from first to tenth grade. Here exhibiting their GT Projects.”

Despite their simple nature, each project teaches the students something, whether it’s research, communication skills, or learn a new talent.

“We just want to foster the gifted students and their capabilities and their creativity,” says Fruia.

The projects varied. From interviews, research, and design work, the students presented their projects with pride.

And that’s not all, they even had a full live newscast complete with cue cards and camera crew.

Some of the parents at the event say that these presentations help develop confidence and character.
