Boise Mayor David Bieter Recognizes Athlos Academies in State of the City Speech

Boise Mayor David Bieter recognized Athlos Academies as an example of the confidence in Boise’s future during his State of the City speech Thursday afternoon.  The mention came as a result of the organization’s recent purchase of the C.C. Anderson Building in downtown Boise, which has been vacant since 2010.

A major portion of the mayor’s speech was dedicated to economic reinvestment and “old spaces turned new” in downtown.  Athlos Academies plans to renovate the former Macy’s building and utilize it as an educator training facility and operations office.  The new headquarters will also feature a model hardwood basketball court, fully-equipped athletic training center, and indoor turf to train teachers on one of the education service provider’s foundational pillars: healthy bodies.  Athlos Academies also emphasizes prepared minds and performance character.

Renovation of the new headquarters is anticipated to be complete by summer 2016.
